northeast-southwest over the Avalon Peninsula.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday departing trough from low located east
of the Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:53 AM NDT 28 April 2025 A low pressure system near the Burin Peninsula will move to lie overthe Southern Grand Banks tonight. Meanwhile, an associated trough
extending northeast of the low will depart east of the Grand Banks
tonight. Strong to gale force south to southwesterlies can be
expected ahead of these features, with strong to gale force north to
northeasterlies in their wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast,
Belle Isle Bank, and the Grand Banks.
