Issued 3:30 PM AST 8 December 2025 Tonight and Tuesday At 3:30 p.m. AST today intensifying low 993 mb located overBanquereau.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Tuesday low 975 mb located east of Newfoundland.
At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight approaching ridge located over the
Great Lakes.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:18 PM AST 8 December 2025 A low pressure system over Banquereau is tracking across the marinedistrict today and will lie near Southeastern Newfoundland this
evening. Gale to storm force northwesterlies will develop across the
district today in the wake of the low. In addition, freezing spray is
expected over most northern waters late Monday as these
northwesterlies usher in cold air.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Banquereau - northern half. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except Fundy, Grand Manan, and Northumberland Strait
- western half.
Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Fundy, Grand Manan,
Lurcher, southwestern shore, eastern shore, Fourchu, Cabot Strait,
and all Gulf of St. Lawrence waters.
