At 3:00 a.m. ADT Sunday trough located over the St. Lawrence River.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Sunday trough located over Newfoundland.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:15 PM ADT 16 May 2026 Gale force westerlies over Southern Banquereau and Laurentian Fanwill diminish this evening as a low pressure system northeast of
Newfoundland continues to pull away.
A trough of low pressure will cross the marine district on Sunday.
Strong southwesterlies ahead of the trough will increase to strong to
gale force northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau - southern half, Laurentian Fan, Gulf - Magdalen -
northeastern half and Anticosti.
