Issued 1:30 AM AST 8 March 2026 A trough of low pressure over the St. Lawrence River will trackeastward today reaching Newfoundland by this evening and the Labrador
Sea on Monday. Strong to gale force southwesterly winds ahead of the
trough will diminish in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau - northern half, Cabot Strait, Gulf-Magdalen -
northeastern half and Anticosti - southeastern half.
