Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:50 AM ADT 15 May 2026 A low pressure system near Sable Island will track northeastwardtoday to lie east of Cape Breton Island this evening and northeast of
Newfoundland Saturday afternoon. Strong to gale force easterly winds
north of the low shift to strong to gale force westerly winds in its
wake. Winds will subside late in the day Saturday as the low departs
the region.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
eastern shore, Fourchu, Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait and
Gulf-Magdalen - southeastern half.
