Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 PM NST 6 February 2026 Tonight and Saturday At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight low 989 mb located over the South
Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NST Saturday low 995 mb located over the Mid Labrador
Coast.

At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight quasi-stationary ridge located over
western Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:20 PM NST 6 February 2026 A low pressure system over the South Labrador Sea will slowly track
westward to lie over the Mid Labrador Coast Saturday evening. Strong
to gale force northeast to northwesterlies will continue over most
waters ahead of the system tonight with gale to storm force east to
southeasterlies expected in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters except Lake Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water except East Labrador Sea.
