At 8:00 p.m. AST Thursday departing low 984 mb located over
Newfoundland.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:48 PM AST 11 February 2026 A low pressure system over LaHave Bank will continue to deepen as itpasses south of Nova Scotia tonight. Strong to gale force east to
southeast winds ahead of and north of the track of the low shift to
strong to gale force westerlies south of it. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies increase over northern areas tomorrow afternoon.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
southwestern shore, LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope, eastern shore,
Sable, East Scotian Slope, Fourchu, Banquereau, Laurentian Fan,
Northumberland Strait - eastern half, Gulf-Magdalen, and Anticosti -
southwestern half.
