At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Gaspe Peninsula.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT Monday ridge located on a line north-south over
Funk Island Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:47 PM NDT 8 March 2026 A trough of low pressure over Western Newfoundland will continueeastward across the marine district tonight to lie over the Funk
Island Bank by Monday morning and east of the marine district by the
evening. Gale to storm force southwesterlies will continue over the
eastern half of the district tonight and Monday ahead of the trough.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Belle Isle Bank.
