Issued 3:30 PM NST 28 November 2023 Tonight and Wednesday At 3:30 p.m. NST today trough located from Northeast Gulf to theGrand Banks.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Wednesday departing trough located over the
eastern Marine District.
At 3:00 a.m. NST Wednesday intensifying low 997 mb located southwest
of Laurentian Fan.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Wednesday deepening low 986 mb located over Funk
Island Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:25 PM NST 28 November 2023 A trough of low pressure extending from Northeast Gulf to the GrandBanks will sweep northeastward across the marine district tonight.
Gale to storm force southeasterlies will spread across all waters
ahead of the trough then diminish to strong to gale force
southwesterly in its wake.
An intensifying low pressure system will approach from the Laurentian
Fan tonight and track northeastward across the Grand Banks on
Wednesday. Gale force southeasterlies ahead of the low will shift to
gale to storm force westerlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half, South Coast, East Coast,
Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and the Grand
Banks. A gale warning is in effect for Strait of Belle Isle - western
half and Northeast Gulf.
