Newfoundland.
By 3:30 p.m. ADT Wednesday departing low 987 mb located north
of Newfoundland.

At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight ridge located west of the Marine District.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Wednesday ridge located from the Gaspe Peninsula
to West Scotian Slope.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:51 PM ADT 12 May 2026 A deepening low pressure system approaching Southern Newfoundland
will move northeast to lie north of Newfoundland by Wednesday
afternoon. Strong to gale force west to northwesterlies will develop
this evening in the wake of the low.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau, Laurentian Fan - eastern half, and Cabot Strait.
