Newfoundland near 4806N 5905W. Sea ice north of the ice edge.

Ice Coverage

Open water except 2 tenths new ice along parts of the Anticosti

Issued 3:30 PM ADT 21 April 2026 Tonight and Wednesday At 3:30 p.m. ADT today building ridge located from Labrador to
the Gulf of Maine.
By 3:30 p.m. ADT Wednesday quasi-stationary ridge located from
Labrador to Browns Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight low 1004 mb located south of Laurentian
Fan.
By 3:30 p.m. ADT Wednesday low 1001 mb located near the Avalon
Peninsula.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:20 PM ADT 21 April 2026 A low pressure system south of Laurentian Fan this evening will move
northeast tonight to lie near the Avalon Peninsula by late Wednesday
morning. Strong to gale force northerly winds will develop on the
western side of the low tonight.

Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for
Laurentian Fan - southeastern half.
