Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:28 AM NST 9 December 2024 An intensifying low pressure system over Newfoundland will movenortheastward to lie over Belle Isle Bank tonight, and then southeast
of the district on Tuesday. Gale to storm force northwest to
northeasterlies will develop ahead of the low over southern waters.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Coast and South Labrador Sea - southeastern half.
Gale warnings are in effect for Mid Labrador Coast - Hopedale and
south and East Labrador Sea - southeastern half.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Lake Melville and North Labrador Coast.
