Isle Bank.
At 9:30 a.m. NDT Thursday deepening trough located on a line
north-south over the East Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT Thursday trough located on a line
northwest-southeast over the South Labrador Sea.
At 4:00 p.m. NDT today ridge located over the East Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight dissipating ridge located over Labrador
Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:43 PM NDT 20 May 2026 A deepening low pressure system over Western Labrador will crossBelle Isle Bank on Thursday then move southeast of the region
Thursday night. Over southern waters strong to gale force
southeasterlies ahead of the low will increase to gale force
northwesterlies behind it.
Meanwhile on Thursday a trough of low pressure extending northward
from the low will move southward across the Labrador Sea. Strong to
gale force north to northwesterlies ahead of the trough veer to
strong to gale force easterlies as it passes.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.
