By 10:00 p.m. PDT tonight departing warm front located over
Hecate Strait.

Issued 3:47 AM PDT 8 May 2026 A warm front is approaching the offshore waters today and will moveto lie from Hecate Strait to the Central Coast late day today. Ahead
of the front, gale force east to southeast winds will develop over
waters north of Northern Vancouver Island. In the wake of the front,
strong to gale force southerlies will persist tonight and through
Saturday over northern waters.
