Freezing rain warning in effect for:

  • Woodstock and Carleton County

Freezing rain is expected or occurring.

A vigorous low pressure system will bring wintery conditions to northern New Brunswick this morning.

Freezing rain is forecast to persist for several hours. It should change over to rain by noon. Driving conditions may be treacherous so caution should be exercised.

This afternoon near high tide, storm surge and waves impacting the Bay of Chaleur may give minor flooding along parts of the coast.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
