Snowfall warning in effect for:

  • North Columbia

Snowfall, with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm continues.

A strong frontal system is tracking across BC, with snow across the Columbia region.

A further 10 cm is possible near Blue River and in the Kinbasket region this morning. With the warm front pushing into the region, the temperature is near the freezing mark and will be more wet as the day progresses.

Snow or a wet snow / rain mix will end this evening as the cold front departs the region. In the wake of the front, gusty winds and a temperature drop are expected.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
