By 3:30 p.m. NDT today quasi-stationary low 993 mb located over
the southwestern Grand Banks.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today intensifying trough from low located over
Newfoundland.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Tuesday trough from low located over southwestern
Newfoundland.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over Cabot Strait.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT today dissipating ridge located over the Quebec
Lower North Shore.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:51 AM NDT 29 April 2024 A low pressure system to the south of the Grand Banks will move north
today and stall over Southwestern Grand Banks this afternoon. Strong
to gale force east to southeasterly winds are expected east of the
low today and Tuesday.

A trough of low pressure associated with the low will lie over
Western Newfoundland later today. Strong to gale force northerly
winds will develop over Gulf waters tonight as the trough
intensifies.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Gulf - Port au Port, Northern Grand Banks, and Southeastern Grand
Banks.
