Issued 4:00 PM PDT 15 May 2024 Tonight and Thursday At 4:00 p.m. PDT today trough located from Bowie to McInnes Island.
By 10:30 a.m. PDT Thursday weakening trough located on a line
east-west over central Explorer.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT Thursday building ridge located on a line
north-south over the offshore waters.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:58 PM PDT 15 May 2024 A trough of low pressure lying west-east from Bowie to the Central
Coast will track southwards tonight. Moderate westerlies south of the
trough and light easterlies north of the trough will be replaced
By northwesterlies as a ridge builds over offshore waters.

Westerly gales will develop through Juan de Fuca Strait late this
afternoon then ease overnight and redevelop on Thursday.

Gale force northwesterlies will also develop over west coast
Vancouver Island Thursday afternoon.
